Emily and I have been cooking some pretty amazing meals as of late! One meal in particular stands out, it was…

Filet mignon, on portabello mushrooms with a red wine tomato reduction sauce. Accompanied by Asparagus with roasted red pepper white wine vinegar topping, and homemade sweet potato fries... omg.

There is a new budrodecker.com up. It is a little play/collaboration with John Pobojewski.

Born out of my angst of how progress bars are taking up my life. This is the progress bar of my life. It updates everyday, and is set to expire on the day of my 100th birthday.

True Story in the Life of Bud #2 - "Roller Boy"

04 March 2008

I was walking toward the front of Target carrying my basic necessities of underwear, undershirts, and charcoal, when around the corner I hear a tiny voice say "Mom". Soon after a little boy not taller than a yard stick rolls around the corner on Heely's®. I don't think I've ever seen anyone roll with such grace, let alone turn a corner on those shoes. The girl next to me exclaimed. "That was the cutest thing I have ever seen!" I have to agree.

True Story in the Life of Bud #1 - "A Life or Death Decision"

I turned the corner onto Hubbard St and my eyes locked on two little birds directly in my path of travel. One bird immediately got out of dodge. The other bird, I could see, had a much too big piece of bread locked in it's beak. The bird tugged and tugged, but could not move the bread very far. It then turned to me and we made eye contact. Time slowed down. In that instant I could see everything the bird was thinking, I could see into it's tiny bird brain. After what seemed like an eternity the bird turned and retreated. It's lost prize passed under me, destined to be eaten by someone else.
